Old Rome distillery stood about 5 miles to the northeast from Troon where it's famous for a golf course. In 1812 James Fraser ran the place. The owner changed several times and it continued till around 1840. Now there stands a beautiful B & B and remains it's name. Ginger, a Whisky cat? welcomed us.
