Glenaden

If you go 10 miles to the west from Peterhead, the northernmost town of Scotland, you'll reach a village called Old Deer. It's a nice and quiet residential street with a chapel in the middle of the town. The distillery stood in the west side of the town in Wudd Hill. It was built by Messrs Milne & Co who owned brewery near this area in 1845. Later in 1915 the distillery was closed and it is now called Biffie Farm. There stands an office of liquor tax levy revenue officer of those days and now it is used as a residence house. I'd like give a biggest thanks to David Bell who supported us when we took pictures and who sent us the picture of those days.
I'd like to thank for the chance I had to meet David. (Sep/2005)
